Membership of the library is restricted to persons over the age of 18. Please bring a valid government-issued ID for access.

  • Exam periods: Extended hours may apply

  • No borrowing privileges
  • No computer access
  • No study room bookings
  • No interlibrary loans
  • Reading room access only

Researchers (affiliated) Full reference access Free Research affiliation letter, ID
Independent Researchers Reference access only 5,000 RWF/day Research proposal, ID

Students from other institutions Reference access Free with letter Student ID, institutional letter

For external researchers

How to Register as a Visitor

  1. Visit the circulation desk at any campus library
  2. Present a valid government-issued ID (National ID or Passport)
  3. Complete the visitor registration form
  4. Pay the applicable daily or membership fee
  5. Receive your visitor pass (valid for the day or membership period)
  6. Review and agree to library rules and regulations
Note: Visitors must surrender their ID at the circulation desk during their visit.
