Our purpose as Academic Library is to support you daily through your teaching and learning activities, hence promoting the reading culture and research of the Campus Community (Students, Teaching and Administrative Staff).

Mandate of the Library unit The core mandate of library is to provide comprehensive resources and services in supporting academic community research, teaching and learning needs. 

Key functions / responsibilities of Library Unit

Key responsibilities of Director of Unit:

• Develop long-range planning for the Library, including programs and services, organization, staffing, budgeting and public relations 
• Implement all major strategies to fulfil the mission and achieve the objectives of the Library 
• Develop and control annual budget and long-term financial plans for the Library 
• Assess Library service needs of the community and implement programs to meet those needs
• Prepare or coordinate preparation of all major reports, proposal, contracts, or grants related to the Library
• Develop and initiate cooperative efforts with a variety of agencies, both public and private, at local, provincial and national level 
• Interpret library policy to other agencies and the public at large
